Stirling
Stirling is the smallest city within Scotland and has a population of only 45,750. The city maintains a great deal of its historical importance and was constructed around a large fortress and medieval old town. Its city reputation is pretty new, just being granted in 2002 within the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations. Even though the city does have a traditional charm, Stirling has modernised in recent times and extended to look after an expanding populace.
