Fleetwood
Fleetwood is a town within the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, resting in the northwest area of the Fylde. It enjoyed a populace of 26,840 people at the 2001 Census. It forms an element of the Greater Blackpool conurbation. The town was the first planned community of the period. For most of the 20th century, Fleetwood was a well known deep-sea fishing port, although, since the 1970s, the fishing industry has diminished precipitously and the town has undergone economic difficulties. Fleetwood is in addition a shore resort, being a calm comparison to close by Blackpool.
