Welwyn (population 8,425) is a village as well as civil parish in Hertfordshire, England. The parish also consists of the villages of Digswell and Oaklands. It is sometimes called Old Welwyn to identify it from the much newer settlement of Welwyn Garden City, concerning a mile to the south, though some locals do not like the idea of inferiority or irrelevance that tends to be suggested by the tag "Old" and favor Welwyn Town. When saying where they live, residents will commonly be asked, 'Welwyn or Welwyn Garden City?', as the latter's title is commonly shortened to just Welwyn. To stay clear of complication, there were strategies to change Welwyn's name to 'Welwyn Minster' in 1990 but this met with neighborhood resistance and also the concept was abandoned. The name is derived from Old English welig significance "willow", describing the trees that snuggle on the banks of the River Mimram as it streams with the town. The name itself is an evolution from weligun, the dative kind of the word, and so is more precisely converted as "at the willows", unlike nearby Willian which is most likely to mean just "the willows". Via having its name originated from welig rather than sealh (the much more generally pointed out Old English word for willow), Welwyn is potentially cognate with Heligan in Cornwall whose name is originated from helygen, the Cornish word for willow that shares a root with welig. The neighboring modern-day village of Digswell (around Welwyn North train station) was originally called 'High Welwyn' when initial created at the beginning of the 20th century.

Many domestic biomass boilers are no bigger than a standard gas boiler. However, they do require a flue, a feeder and a space to store the fuel. These can be designed to suit many different properties and will fit in lots of homes or a garage or outbuilding.
Biomass boilers do require some maintenance. Many manufacturers recommend servicing twice a year, although this is often included in the installation cost. Many systems have automatic fuel loading that removes the need to manually load fuel. You will need to remove the ash from the boiler, but this is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner.
Biomass boilers can be designed to work with other kinds of heating. The most common of these is solar thermal. This is a popular renewable energy pairing. Solar thermal heating will meet your hot water needs during the summer while a biomass boiler can operate as a backup during the winter when solar thermal panels do not perform as well.
Biomass boilers will work with existing central heating systems, presuming this is not decades old, whether they use radiators or under floor heating. A surveyor will check the existing system you have in place before quoting for or recommending a biomass boiler to you.
We can help you get more Biomass boilers work and boost your business.
