Biomass boilers are a popular form of household heating and enjoy a green standing, as an eco friendly means of warming the household. On top of this they'll reduce your expenses by hundreds of pounds per year.
So how does biomass work? Well, biomass boilers burn natural products which are carbon dioxide neutral. For example, central heating boilers will use wood pellets or agricultural waste for fuel. This means you're taking away reliance for fossil fuels, which can be particularly important when gas and electricity rates are continuously rising.

Honiton is a market town and civil parish in East Devon. It is set next to the River Otter, and is approximately 17 miles (27 kilometres) north east of Exeter in the county of Devon. Honiton is at the junction of the A35, the A30 and the A373 roads. Honiton train station is on the West of England Main Line that runs from London Waterloo to Exeter. Honiton has a population approximated at 11822. The town grew along the line of the Fosse Way, the ancient Roman road linking Exeter to Lincoln, on which it was an essential stopping point. The location is spoken about in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Honetone, meaning 'Huna's tun' or 'farm'. It grew into a crucial market town, known for its lace making that was introduced by Flemish immigrants in the Elizabethan era. In the 17th century, great numbers of people produced lace by hand in their homes, and later in the 19th century, Queen Victoria had her wedding dress made from Honiton lace, though the dress itself was made in the fishing village of Beer. The town also became known for its pottery. Honiton is host to the annual Honiton Agricultural Show, a traditional celebration going back to 1890. The Hot Pennies ceremony happens every year on the first Tuesday after 19 July in the High Street of the town, and dates back to the reign of King Stephen. The tradition has its roots in the practice of the landed gentry enjoying throwing hot pennies from windows to local peasants, a seemingly humanitarian gesture leading to burns. The custom also had the purpose of encouraging people to go to the town from the surrounding region to go to a subsequent fair. For all your home improvements, make sure to identify reliable contractors in Honiton to make certain of quality.

Biomass boilers can be designed to work with other kinds of heating. The most common of these is solar thermal. This is a popular renewable energy pairing. Solar thermal heating will meet your hot water needs during the summer while a biomass boiler can operate as a backup during the winter when solar thermal panels do not perform as well.
Biomass boilers do require some maintenance. Many manufacturers recommend servicing twice a year, although this is often included in the installation cost. Many systems have automatic fuel loading that removes the need to manually load fuel. You will need to remove the ash from the boiler, but this is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner.
Many domestic biomass boilers are no bigger than a standard gas boiler. However, they do require a flue, a feeder and a space to store the fuel. These can be designed to suit many different properties and will fit in lots of homes or a garage or outbuilding.
Biomass boilers will work with existing central heating systems, presuming this is not decades old, whether they use radiators or under floor heating. A surveyor will check the existing system you have in place before quoting for or recommending a biomass boiler to you.
We can help you get more biomass boilers work with our qualified job leads and boost your business.
