Interested in having fencing installed in Tillicoultry? Using the Quotatis service you'll be able to look at as many as four fence contractors to get the very best deal available for the task you need.
Fencing is important for all properties no matter whether it's the front or back garden. From restoration work to a full installation of new fencing, working with a reputable company is highly encouraged to get the best price available.
Fences work as a perimeter to our properties and with an installation you'll add more security to your home preventing easy access to your back garden. Back garden fences are traditionally close to six feet high, which straight away will make it tougher for intruders to gain access.
Decorative fencing or wooden picket fencing will often be most appropriate for the front garden, where security isn't as vital. Instead, you're more likely to opt for a front garden fence specifically for decoration and to add something different.
For whatever kind of fencing you're wanting to have installed, make sure to use our free and no obligation service to get the best deal available in Tillicoultry.
The regular cost of a new or replacement fence is approximately £20-£45 per foot, not including removing your existing fence which could cost an extra £5-10 per foot. The labour costs depend on the length and height of your fence, the number of posts and the material used. It will also differ among regions, so it's best to get a few quotes to see what the best price is in your area.

Tillicoultry (population 5,900) is a town in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. Tillicoultry is normally referred to as Tilly by the citizens. One of the Hillfoots Villages on the A91, which runs from Stirling to St. Andrews, Tillicoultry is situated at the southern base of the Ochil Hills, which give a stunning backdrop. The River Devon lies to the south. The river also goes through neighbouring towns Dollar and Alva to the eastern as well as west specifically. The previous mining town of Coalsnaughton lies just southern, whilst Alloa lies 4 mi southwest. The "hill" referred to in the very first etymology is likely to be Kirkhill, at the east of the town. The alternative Latin etymology, Tellus culta, the cultivated land, recommended by Rev. William Osborne, priest of the church from 1773 to 1794, is also feasible. Nevertheless, as both etymologies can equally be put on a hundred places in Scotland, both are suspicious, as neither define the town in an unique fashion.

The best way to build a fence depends on what style it is, as different types have different components. However, fencing made up of posts and panels is pretty common. To put this up, you’ll need to start by measuring out and digging holes for your fence posts. Then you’ll need to fit the panels between them and use concrete to secure the posts in the ground.
Not if they are under 1 metre high if next to a road or 2 metres high elsewhere. It’s always recommended to check with your neighbours and the local authority if you are unsure. Other restrictions may apply, for example if a fence might impact driver visibility on nearby roads.
It’s a good idea to talk to your neighbours before you start any work to avoid confusion along the way. But if the fence is definitely your responsibility and on your property, there’s no legal obligation to notify them. It’s also a myth that you need to erect a fence with the flush side without posts facing your neighbour’s property.
Most responsible contractors will dispose of the old fencing via an approved commercial waste site. Do check that the cost of taking rubbish away is included in the quotes you receive, otherwise you might find you get stung when it comes to paying for the work.
