Saxmundham
Saxmundham is a tiny market community in Suffolk, England, set in the valley of the River Fromus regarding 18 miles (29 kilometres) north-east of Ipswich as well as 5 miles (8.0 kilometres) west of the coastline at Sizewell. The town is bypassed by the A12. It is served by Saxmundham railway station on the East Suffolk Line. Saxmundham Town Council comes under the new East Suffolk District. The community's name purportedly originates from the Old English "Seizmond's Home". The earliest recorded mention of Saxmundham remains in the Domesday Book of 1086 which mentions 3 churches.
