Wooden decking is an increasingly prevalent choice for creating outdoor seating areas in gardens. Because of the natural beauty of wood, they can be very elegant spaces which can be used year round with the help of additional heating and lighting. Wooden decking is usually fitted in locations in front of patio or French doors where they can create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. Wooden decking can come in any size or shape to suit any area. Curved designs or large areas joined by pathways can produce an attractive effect. Wooden decking is relatively easy to install and causes minimal disruption, particularly in comparison to alternatives like patio or paving. It can even be installed over the top of a pre-existing patio. It is essential however to be certain that your wooden decking is structurally sound and able to take the load of any furniture or plants that you want to use on the decking. There is a collection of varieties of wood that can be used in wooden decking. Typically decking is constructed from hardwood, but there are softwoods available that fulfil the durability requirements. As hardwood decking will require maintenance, which typically involves yearly cleaning and staining for weather proofing, composite woods are becoming popular for use in wooden decking as they are stronger and require significantly less maintenance.
The typical cost of Wooden decking is £1500. Costs can change based upon the materials and the firm hired. The upper price range can be as high as £1725. The material costs are commonly approximately £375

Abbots Ripton is a parish in Cambridgeshire. It is situated five miles north of Huntingdon. It has a population of just 309, and covers 4,191 acres of land. The parish is part of the District of Huntingdonshire, which also consists of St Ives, St Neots, Godmanchester and Ramsey.
The village was the site of the Abbots Ripton railway disaster in 1876, where a Flying Scotsman train was wrecked during a blizzard.
Abbots Ripton has a long history. The Domesday book names it Riptone, and in the 11th century it was called Riptune. Moat Farm has trees as old as Shakespeare's era, and St. Andrew's church tower is approximately 400 years old. It houses a bell manufactured in 1400 and another from 1671. The nave, aisle and porch of the church are even older, dating back to the 13th century.
The village is home to a 17th-century pub, the Three Horseshoes, which was badly damaged by a fire in 2010 due to embers in the chimney.
If you need a replacement boiler for your property in Abbots Ripton, ensure you get at least three quotations from trusted firms before signing a contract.

Usually, slipperiness is caused by algae or dirt on top of the deck or terrace. A full cleaning treatment should restore the natural grip of the wood or stone. If slipperiness is a persistent problem, consider installing grip mats in high traffic areas of the deck.
If your deck isn’t going to be flat to the ground, it’s a good idea to have some kind of balustrade to avoid any tripping. If the gap between the deck and the ground is less than 600mm, use a 900mm balustrade. If it’s higher than 600mm, the balustrade should be 1100mm tall.
