Caersws
Caersws is a town as well as community on the River Severn, in the Welsh county of Powys (Montgomeryshire) 5 miles (8 km) west of Newtown, and midway between Aberystwyth as well as Shrewsbury. It has a station on the Cambrian Line from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,526, raising a little to 1,586 at the 2011 Census. In modern Welsh, Caersws literally implies "Ft Kiss", although sws probably stems from some other source. It has been argued that the website may preserve a Roman-era commitment to Zeus or preserve the name of a conjectured British queen Swswen.
