Double glazing is made up of two layers of glass, with a layer of argon gas in between. This type of glass can be used in Aluminium windows. The gas is a poor insulator, helping heat to stay in your home and making your windows more efficient. As well as trapping the argon gas, the second layer of glass reduces the amount of noise that enters your property, and helps to make your windows stronger and more secure.
Dunmow
Great Dunmow is a historical market community and civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. It is located on the north of the A120 road, approximately midway in between Bishop's Stortford and also Braintree, 6 miles east of London Stansted Airport. Originally the site of a Roman negotiation on Stane Street, the town prospered throughout the Middle Ages. Lots of buildings survive from this duration, consisting of a sixteenth-century city center. Dunmow means "Meadow on the Hill". [4] The negotiation was variously referred to as Dunmow Magna, Much Dunmow, or most generally Great Dunmow. Great Dunmow borders the previous estate of Easton Lodge in the neighbouring church of Little Easton, a country house belonging to the Maynard family members. One of the most significant member, Frances Maynard, ended up being the Countess of Warwick as well as later a girlfriend of King Edward VII. As the Prince of Wales he was reportedly a normal visitor to the Estate, taking a trip from London on the train to Easton Lodge train station. The initials "CW" are visible on a variety of Victorian era residential properties in Great Dunmow. Called Daisy Greville, Countess of Warwick she was a charitable benefactor in the regional community. As of 2018, Robert Nicholson is Emeritus Mayor of Great Dunmow.
