Kendal
Kendal, anciently identified as Kirkby in Kendal or even Kirkby Kendal, is a market town and civil parish inside the South Lakeland District of Cumbria, England. Traditionally in Westmorland, it's 22 miles (35 km) north of Lancaster and 50 miles (80 km) south of Carlisle, on the River Kent, and has an overall resident population of 28,586, defining it as the third biggest settlement in Cumbria, behind Carlisle and Barrow in Furness.
