I called Hugh on a Sunday to query some roof cleaning work. Hugh came out within the hour to advise on and quoted for the work we needed. Additional work was pointed out by Hugh but no pressure was put om us to proceed above and beyond what we had asked for. We agreed to the additional work and a time scale was agreed,, which was adhered to. Hugh took a task centred approach breaking the total work agreed into smaller tasks, which would be be paid for once complete. Our work was broken down into 3 tasks; roof cleaning, ridge tile pointing and dry verging to dorma. Hugh completed all tasks in the times agreed and payments made via bank transfers. The site was cleaned down after the work was completed. We found Hugh to be reliable, contactable and capable for the work required. My only comment would be that the cleaning down could have been better. Despite this, we would invite Hugh to do work for us again.

Thorough description of what work was necessary and a more competitive price
Initial call when I was not present Sent a junior whose idea of measurement was lacking to say the least When met to confirm quote price upped by £150 as junior had guessed the size!!!!!!!! From then fine - fitted the next morning Pressurised to pay by BACS not cheque Touted for further work by informing me grouting on ridge tiles in places was missing - studiously ignored
Quick response,professional and very accommodating.Punctual and straight onto the job.no time wasting . Everything that needed doing was explained thoroughly before work started each day. Excellent work ethic,and well mannered. Not cheap, but this reflected in the quality of work and end result.

Very fast responce to request for quote, made an appointment for following day and gave courtesy call to advise they were on their way to initial appointment.. Gave sound practical advice on roofing requirements and informed about legal implications of cooling off period so no pressure applied to accept quote. Very competitive quote and added free ridge tiles and ridge verge with new roof. Kept constantly in touch with updates re delivery of materials and skips and start date of work. Very polite and considerate to elderly client and concerned for her welfare due to roof leaking so sped up action to order roofing materials. Would highly recommend this company for action taken to date.
I was only present for the initial consultation and quote for a new roof while visiting my elderly mother. Hugh was extremely patient and professional with my queries and grave concerns having been duped by a Rogue Roofer for previous roofing repairs to my mother's property. He was extremely polite and considerate to my mother especially when I was not available. He went beyond the call of duty when my mother's central heating failed and he provided his own portable radiator when British Gas failed miserably to abide by their duty of care to their vulnerable customers. The roofing work was completed ahead of schedule due to working over the weekend. Reports by a near neighbour confirm that the work was carried out to a high professional standard. I was kept constantly informed re progress and provided with numerous photos to prove previous appalling workmanship which I requested and proof of the high quality work being completed at every stage of the re-roofing process.. I was advised of additional necessary work to make soffits / facia area water tight which was completed post re-roofing. Additional faults caused by previous rogue provider's guttering were rectified at that point for no further charge. The loft was checked before and after re-roofing at my request. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this company and the professionalism of Hugh McMillan
