The problem is that I wasn't sure if I needed anyone, or that I had got asbestos. So a high quote would not help me as I could not afford to have it removed anyway so I had to leave it.

Very swift response, but not quite competitive enough, compared to 360 degree Surveying, who charged only £150 to carry out the Asbestos survey.

A little disappointing. I agreed a price of £70+ VAT by phone and which was confirmed on the day of the visit for a survey and testing with it being agreed that I would get the results on Thursday 13/10. I also asked for a quotation for removing, disposal and replacing the roof. The results and an invoice for £90 arrived on 15/10 after I had chased it, but there was no quotation for completing the work. I sent an email querying this, and when Ledbury surveys rang me back on 16/10, they disputed the figures that we had previously agreed. They words were 'forget it' and then they slammed the phone down. Since then they have reduced the value of their invoice - Not a good way to do business!
