Having given me a verbal quote for garden maintenance in 2108. I agreed a price for him to immediately Thin the Hedge which was carried out promptly and to my satisfaction. I requested written quote for next years maintenance, this has not been forthcoming so as I have received a written quote from a local company I have contracted them to carry out the work.

This was the only company to respond via Quotatis and they did so within minutes. They came on the date I chose and did the job very quickly but did it well. They removed all of the rubbish and left my garden relatively tidy as stump grinding is a messy job. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because I can't compare their price with anyone else as I did not get any other quotes. Speaking to friends, I think their price was probably fair and reasonable.

The initial price was the highest of 3 quotes by almost £100 but rapidly sank to less than half when it was clear that I was not accepting the first quote if I would agree to the job being done there and then. I dislike being manipulated.
