First Impressions

Having first qualified as an architectural technician in 1986, receiving the York Guild of builidng Silver Medal for being the top student at York Technical College, Stephanie went and studied Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. After a year out at Peter Marshall Architects studies were continued at Bath University for the Part II and finally Leeds Metropolitan University (Part III) qualifying as an Architect in 1998.
Professionally, she has worked with a variety of design practices both in London, Leeds and York, experiencing varied roles as lead clerk of works for the Manchester Commonwealth Games Stadium, Advisory Architect for Corus and product development Engineer for a manufacturing company. Her breadth of design experience includes residential, leisure, commercial, education and modular development.
 
She has a pragmatic approach towards building solutions and an eclectic portfolio influenced by Client needs. With a female perspective in understanding the unique set of constraints that frame each individual project, Stephanie works with the Client to realise an architectural response that will give spatial quality, improved environment, value and functionality.
 
She is competent at working with many different building materials and has experience with listed buildings, conservation areas and traditional buildings as well as modern building practices.
