Roofing | Flat | Repair in Balham

Pre work:
I have experienced a terrible, stressful experience with allfourseasons company which I would like to describe: I had a leaky flat roof on a property on Cavendish Rd Balham and sought quotes with Quotatis. I had 2 quotes; one from 'Robert' and another. Robert's/allfourseasons at 2600 was cheaper than the other which came in at 3800. So I gave Robert the job very stupidly. Robert started this Monday 14th November. First thing Monday I get a call, 'Oh the job is much bigger than I thought and it's now going to cost you £6000'. What could I do with the roof exposed & rain threatening so I negotiated 'Robert' down to £5500 ? It was a clear strategy to extract more money or - generously - it was a poor original survey of the state of the roof. Then the same Monday evening I get a demand for £3500 backed up by loads of coercive calls, like his very life depended on it, which were actually abusive in conclusion. I might not have even been able to take the calls, been driving, anything. No mention of these 'payment' conditions was made when I gave Robert the job. I naturally refused and very generously offered £1000 or they could take their stuff and clear off, which was begrudgingly accepted. If he'd asked for cash up front for materials initially that would have been different. Tuesday, despite the fact that it was gushing with rain, Robert insisted that the work would continue (I have WhatsApps) so I made a special trip to London with associated costs to check what was going on. Of course the job couldn't continue and the roof, already exposed, leaked causing more damage to the ceiling of the flat. Wednesday, by some total miracle, the weather improved and the boys were able to finish the job but they melted the internet cable to one of the flats which they attempted to repair but it will need to be done properly. I of course intend to pay the invoice in full but will withhold an amount until I find out what it will cost for NowTv to replace/repair the cable. After this experience I felt totally stressed and harrassed. What company has payment terms of 30 mins and more than half before the job is done? Seriously. Now it's January and the roof is still leaking... I went up myself and it's so obvious what the actual problem is and I didn't need a new roof at all.
