Islington
The London Borough of Islington is a London borough in Inner London. It was formed in 1965 by merging the former metropolitan boroughs of Islington and Finsbury, however the merged entity continues to be second smallest borough in London and also the third smallest district in England. It covers an overall area of 5.74 square miles. The borough consists of two Westminster parliamentary constituencies, Islington North and Islington South & Finsbury.
The 2011 Census indicated that Islington has the highest population density of local authorities in England and Wales, with 13875 people per square kilometre.
