Positioned in Staffordshire in the West Midlands, Abbots Bromley is a little historic village. It is known for its yearly Horn Dance which takes place on Wakes Monday, the day following the first Sunday after 4th September. The Horn Dance is a folk dance from the Middle Ages where participants dance through the village. In 2001, Abbots Bromley had a population of 1,799. The village dates back to 942, and is reported in the Domesday Book.
Abbots Bromley is situated 6.8 miles south west of Uttoxeter. The nearest railway station is at Rugeley which is 5.8 miles south west of the village. 1.8 miles from the centre of the village is the Blithfield Reservoir, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
