Rhosneigr
Rhosneigr is a town in the south-west of Anglesey, North Wales. It is situated on the A4080 road some 10 km south-east of Holyhead, and gets on the Anglesey Coastal Path. From the clock at the centre of the village can be seen RAF Valley as well as Holyhead Mountain. The significant towns of Holyhead and Llangefni as well as the city of Bangor are all within simple travelling distance. It is one of the most costly place to stay in Anglesey in terms of residence prices. The village is really anglicised. The town has 4 caravan sites, three camp sites, holiday homes and bungalows, bars, hotels, cafes, a brand-new town hall, a chapel, domestic homes, a school, a station house, a corner store and post office, a pharmacy as well as a fish and chip shop. It is served by Rhosneigr railway station. Before the 2012 Anglesey selecting border adjustments an electoral ward in the very same name existed, electing a county councillor to the Isle of Anglesey County Council. This ward had a population taken at the 2011 census of 1,008. A by-election happened in November 2010 following the resignation of Independent councillor (and former council leader) Phil Fowlie. The election was won by one more Independent, Richard Dew. Because the 1995 political elections the ward had been stood for by Independent councillors.
