Sandringham
Sandringham is a town and civil church in the north of the English area of Norfolk. The town is situated 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of Dersingham, 12 km (7.5 mi) north of King's Lynn and 60 kilometres (37 mi) north-west of Norwich. The civil parish prolongs eastwards from Sandringham village to the shore of the Wash some 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) remote, and also consists of the villages of West Newton as well as Wolferton. It has a location of 41.91 km2 (16.18 sq mi) and in 2001 had a population of 402 in 176 homes. The population had boosted to 437 at the 2011 Census. For the objectives of local government, the church is in the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Sandringham is best called the area of Sandringham House and also its estate, a favoured holiday residence of Queen Elizabeth II and several of her precursors. Close to Sandringham residence is the Royal Stud, a stud farm that houses a lot of the imperial horses. The town was the birth place of Diana, Princess of Wales.
