Strome Ferry
Stromeferry is a village, situated on the south shore of the west coastline sea loch, Loch Carron, in western Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands and remains in the Scottish council location of Highland. Its name reflects its former duty as the location of among the many seaside ferryboat solutions which existed before the growth of the road network in the 20th century. It is offered by Stromeferry train station and also is close to the A890 road. Stromeferry gets on the southerly bank of Loch Carron; Strome Castle is opposite on the north financial institution. The village is described in Iain Banks's unique Complicity, where the storyteller defines the roadway sign marking the village, which states "Strome Ferry (No ferry)". Some local shinty players as soon as contended as "Stromeferry (No Ferry) United". The town has been subject of different growth proposals focussing on the run-down hotel. In November 2007, W.A. Fairhurst & Partners, in support of the Helmsley Group, safeguarded a summary preparation approval for renewing the hotel and constructing a number of new houses.
