There are two different types: flat plate, where lots of thin tubes carry water through a flat absorber panel, and evacuated tube, where vacuum glass tubes capture the sun’s energy directly. There is little difference in performance between the two but evacuated tube panels do more obviously extrude from the roof.
Studley
Studley is a big town and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Located on the western edge of Warwickshire near the border with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch and 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, now the A435, travels through the village on its eastern side, parallel to the River Arrow. The name stems from the Old English leah, being a field or pasture, where equines, stod, are maintained. Studley is sometimes declared to be the largest village in England, nonetheless, this is incorrect as it is not even the biggest village in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth and Bulkington are bigger, by population, they could be classified as a country. The UK Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, reducing to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
