However, wooden fascias and soffits can rot with time and expose the rest of the guttering to problems or leaks. Recently, UPVC fascias and soffits have been increasingly popular as they provide a resilient choice that will not rot. UPVC fascias and soffits are available in numerous colours to suit any building, although white is popular as it offers a traditional appearance. Fascias are also available in ogee moulded designs, where feature grooves are included. These can have a striking effect.

Diss

Diss is an English market town and selecting ward in the East Anglian region of Norfolk, near the boundary with Suffolk. It had a population of 7,572 in 2011. Diss railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line from London to Norwich. The town depends on the valley of the River Waveney, round a simple covering 6 acres (2.4 ha) and also as much as 18 feet (5.5 m) deep, although there is one more 51 feet (16 m) of mud. The town takes its name from dic an Anglo-Saxon acceptation either ditch or embankment. Diss has a number of historical structures, consisting of an early 14th-century parish church as well as an 1850s corn exchange still in operation. Four miles east of Diss is the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum at the previous RAF Thorpe Abbotts airfield. In March 2006, Diss became the third community in the UK to sign up with Cittaslow, a global organisation advertising the idea of "Slow Towns". Nonetheless, it has given that left this initiative.
