Smoke Alarm in Clitheroe

Smoke alarms are important for every household. Each year, the Fire and Rescue Service visit over 600,000 fires which lead to over 800 deaths. These incidents could be prevented by having smoke alarms installed in each dwelling or business premises. Smoke alarms are self-contained devices that detect a fire and sound an alarm. They should be fitted to the ceiling, even though in some properties you may see them fitted towards the top of a wall. They are able to detect fires in their early stages, giving you time to react to a fire. You can find various kinds of smoke alarms and they can be battery-powered or wired up to the mains electricity. Alarms that are powered by the mains are thought to be safer as you do not have to be concerned about replacing the batteries when they run out. As long as you do not have a power cut, the smoke alarm should detect fires and keep you and your family safe. An electrician can help you set up a smoke alarm and connect it to your mains power. Just fill in our online form and we’ll put you in contact with up to four electricians who're certified to offer you a competitive quote.
