Bamburgh
Bamburgh is a village as well as civil parish on the shore of Northumberland, England. It had a population of 454 in 2001, decreasing to 414 at the 2011 census. The town is significant for the neighboring Bamburgh Castle, a castle which was the seat of the previous Kings of Northumbria, and for its association with the Victorian era heroine Elegance Darling, who is hidden there. The considerable beach by the town was granted the Blue Flag rural coastline award in 2005. The Bamburgh Dunes, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, back up the coastline. Bamburgh is preferred with holidaymakers and also is within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A selecting ward of the very same name exists. This ward consists of Belford and also stretches southern to Ellingham with an overall population taken at the 2011 census of 4,846.
