Looe
Looe is a small coastal community, angling port as well as civil parish in south-east Cornwall, England, with a population of 5,280 at the 2011 census. Looe is 20 miles (32 km) west of Plymouth and also 7 miles (11 km) south of Liskeard, divided in two by the River Looe, East Looe and also West Looe being connected by a bridge. Looe created as two different towns each with MPs as well as its own mayor. The community centres around a tiny harbour as well as along the steep-sided valley of the River Looe which flows between East and West Looe to the sea close to a sandy coastline. Offshore to the west, opposite the stonier Hannafore Beach, exists Looe Island. Looe continues to be an angling town, and also maintained a number of fish dealers operating from the East Looe quayside up until the introduction of EU policies. With its fleet of tiny angling watercrafts returning their catches to port daily, Looe has a credibility for obtaining outstanding fresh fish. The town is also a centre for shark fishing, and also is residence to the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain. Nevertheless, Looe's primary organisation today is tourism, with much of the community given over to hotels, bed and breakfast as well as vacation houses, along with a multitude of clubs, restaurants and beach tools, ice cream as well as Cornish pasty suppliers. Inland from Looe exist numerous camping as well as campers sites, as well as the famous Woolly Monkey Sanctuary. Other regional destinations include the coastlines, sailing, fishing as well as diving, as well as incredible seaside walks (particularly by means of Talland to Polperro). South East Cornwall boasts numerous manor houses, consisting of Antony House, Cotehele, Mount Edgcumbe and also Lanhydrock House, along with the Eden Project near St Austell which tourists can access by road.
