Camelford
Camelford is a community and civil parish in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, located in the River Camel valley northwest of Bodmin Moor. The community is about ten miles (16 kilometres) north of Bodmin and is regulated by Camelford Town Council. [3] Lanteglos-by-Camelford is the ecclesiastical parish in which the community is situated (not to be puzzled with Lanteglos-by-Fowey). The ward population at the 2011 Census was 4,001. The Town population at the very same census was 865 just. Camelford is in the North Cornwall parliamentary constituency stood for by Scott Mann MP because 2015. Up until 1974, the town was the administrative headquarters of Camelford Rural District. Both major industrial ventures in the location are the slate quarry at Delabole and the cheese factory at Davidstow and there is a small industrial estate at Highfield. The A39 roadway (called 'Atlantic Highway') travels through the town centre: a bypass has actually been gone over for many years. Camelford Station, some range from the community, closed in 1966; the site was subsequently made use of as a biking museum.
