Filey
Filey is a town and also civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the East Riding of Yorkshire, it is part of the borough of Scarborough between Scarborough and also Bridlington on the North Sea coast. Although it was a fishing town, it has a huge beach and became a prominent tourist resort. According to the 2011 UK census, Filey church had a population of 6,981, a specific number being 2001 UK census 6,819. Filey is at the eastern end of the Cleveland Way, a long-distance walkway; it starts at Helmsley and also skirts the North York Moors. It was the second National Trail to be opened (1969 ). The camp has been re-developed into a 600-home vacation housing development, The Bay Filey. It is just one of the largest seaside growths of this kind in the UK and also the initial houses were completed in 2007.
