On the lookout for commercial roofing in Banbridge? Our commercial roofer experts in Banbridge are able to offer the ideal quotes for having commercial roofing installed or replaced.

Commercial rooftops can be required for quite a few reasons, specifically if the current roof is in need of repair or it will be attached to a brand new build.

There are many factors that can contribute to the structure and planning of a new commercial roof structure and the expense will all be determined by the size and style you select.

Thermoplastic roofing is particularly popular. This sort of roofing is made of a resilient material with high temperature tolerance. The material is a favourite for commercial roofs as it's resistant against ultra-violet and chemical substance exposure. The roof structure lasts more than twenty years, with a fantastic resistance for fire, punctures and high wind loads.

You may also consider EPDM roofing. The durability and flexibility of EPDM roofing tends to make it a popular material in the commercial roofing world. These types of roof material have the benefit of being easier to install, maintain and repair too, leading to their popularity.

If you'd like to install commercial roofing then make certain to do a comparison of quotes between vetted experts in Banbridge. By doing this you will get the very best price and offer available for you within Banbridge.

Banbridge

The town of Banbridge is in Northern Ireland's County Down. It's positioned around the River Bann and a dual carriageway, with its name coming from a bridge that was constructed over the River Bann in 1712. It's included in the civil parish of Seapatrick and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. Banbridge is at the moment the administrative base for the Banbridge District Council. As per the 2011 Census, the town has a resident population of roughly 16653. It is recognised as a medium town and of the population, 24.4% were aged under 16 years, 16.1 percent were over 60 years of age, and 49.5 percent were male, leaving 50.5 percent as female. The town emerged as a coach stop for the road between Belfast and Dublin, and it prospered in the manufacturing process of Irish linen. A noteworthy feature of the town is its recognisable main street, which rises to a steep hill prior to levelling out. An underpass had to be constructed in 1834 because of the steep street causing horses with heavy loads to faint before they could get to the top . Constructed by William Dargan, it is officially named the Downshire Bridge, though it is often referred to as 'The Cut'. The town is widely recognized for being near to the Bronte Homeland in Rathfriland, attracting quite a few visitors for this reason. A further attraction is the annual busking festival, 'Buskfest', which has been running since 2004. Participants have frequently travelled lengthy distances to busk, plus the competition concludes with an evening concert including performances by world-famous artists. For all of your house improvements, be certain that you choose vetted professionals in Banbridge to ensure you get the very best quality service.

FAQs

How to find a commercial roofer near me?

To find a commercial roofer near you, you could ask other tenants or property owners whether they can recommend a company. If you choose a company that’s been recommended to you, make sure you do your own research into them before you decide to engage them; you can check whether they have social media pages, reviews and examples of previous work. If the company has a Quotatis profile, you’ll find genuine reviews from their customers there, including photos of work they’ve completed.

Another option is to do your own search online. These days lots of companies will have their own website and you may be able to make an enquiry through there without even having to call them. Again, you should always check out their qualifications, previous work and reviews before deciding to go with them.

Or, you could let Quotatis do the work for you. Simply tell us about your commercial roofing project and where the property is and we’ll put you in touch with up to 4 reputable commercial roofers that will be able to offer you a free, no-obligation quote. You can check out their reviews, qualifications, insurance and photos of work on their profile which we’ll send to you in an email when we’ve matched you. The roofing companies should contact you first, but if they don’t we’ll give you all their details so you can introduce yourself.

How much does it cost to replace a commercial flat roof?
If your commercial flat roof needs replacing, how much it costs will depend on how big the roof is and what you want it to be made from. Lots of commercial flat roofs are made from felt or asphalt, but people are also beginning to turn to materials like EDPM rubber and fibreglass. Flat roofs can last a long time, but if it’s been 20 years or more since you had it replaced or inspected, it might be time for a new one. If a roofer inspects it and finds lifting, flashing problems, sagging or lots of blisters, it’s probably time to replace your flat commercial roof. So how much does it cost to replace your commercial flat roof? The average cost is around £4,500, but it could be much less or much more. It depends on how big your roof is and what material you choose. Felt is the cheapest material you can use for your commercial flat roof, at around £40-70 per metre squared, while a lead bay roof will cost the most at £90-110 per square metre. EDPM rubber and fibreglass roofs are being used more and more because they’re so durable, and they will cost between £80 and £110 per square metre. It might be worth spending a little more upfront to get a stronger and longer-lasting commercial flat roof.

How much does it cost to replace a commercial roof?
How much it costs to replace a commercial roof depends on the type of roof you have and the size of your commercial property. Lots of commercial buildings have flat roofs, which are often made from felt, asphalt, EDPM rubber or fibreglass, while others are pitched roofs that might be made from tiles, shingle or metal. It’s likely that your commercial roof will need replacing if it’s more than 25 years old. A roofer can carry out an inspection to determine what, if any, work is needed, but there’s a high chance that you’ll need a roof replacement if it’s that old. If your flashing is looking worse for wear or you’re missing a number of tiles or shingles, it might be time to replace your commercial roof. So how much does it cost to replace a commercial roof? If your commercial roof is pitched, expect to spend between £4,500 and £7,500. It all depends on how large your property is and how easy access is, as the more scaffolding you need, the more it will cost. If your commercial property has a flat roof, the average cost would be approximately £4,500. Again, it all depends on the material, access and how large the roof is. Felt costs between £40-70 per square metre, while fibreglass costs between £80-110. Whatever type of commercial roof you have or what it’s made from, make sure you get a few quotes from reputable roofing companies so you know that the job will be done well.

How to install commercial rubber roofing?

How you install commercial rubber roofing is similar to fitting it on a residential property, except that the area that’s covered is likely to be bigger. With commercial properties, you should always leave any maintenance and repair works to the professionals – whether you own or lease the property, you could invalidate any insurance if you try to install rubber roofing yourself. We’ll outline the steps roofers will take when installing rubber roofing on a commercial property.

Firstly, the installers will remove any existing coverings and clean and dry the surface thoroughly. This is vital in ensuring that the rubber will stick. They will then unwrap the EDPM rubber membrane and leave it to rest until it’s fully expanded. On a warm day this may take around half an hour.

Next, the roofers will work with half a sheet of rubber at a time and adhere it to the roof surface. They may use a water-based adhesive which they will spread onto the roof in sections, then roll the membrane onto the surface before moving onto the next section. If they’re using a bonded adhesive, they will apply it to both the roof and the rubber and leave it to dry until it’s tacky before extending the membrane.

Once the EDPM rubber is rolled out, the installers will brush the surface with a large broom to get rid of bubbles and provide a stronger bond. Then they will work of the edges, applying adhesive to roof and walls edges, sealing corners and creating watertight seals. They’ll also tidy up any excess membrane and seal all the trims.

As long as it’s installed correctly, your commercial rubber roofing should last you decades without any repairs needed. It’s always best to inspect your roof regularly to spot any damage before it becomes a bigger problem.
