Westcliff-on-sea
Westcliff-on-Sea is a suburban area of Southend-on-Sea, a seaside resort as well as unitary authority in Essex in south-east England. It gets on the north coast of the lower Thames Estuary, concerning 34 miles (55 kilometres) east of London. The primary purchasing area in Westcliff-on-Sea is Hamlet Court Road, where the chain store Havens, developed in 1901, remained the anchor store till its closure in 2017. Hamlet Court Road took its name from a manor house called the Hamlet Court, which based on land now occupied by Pavarotti's restaurant and adjoining shops, facing towards the sea with sweeping yards down to the railway. The road later turned into a solid independent retail location and swiftly arrived outside the location as the Bond Street of Essex.
