Studley
Studley is a huge town and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Situated on the western edge of Warwickshire near the boundary with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Redditch as well as 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, travels through the village on its eastern side, alongside the River Arrow. The name originates from the Old English leah, being a field or pasture, where steeds, stod, are kept. Studley is often asserted to be the largest village in England, however, this is incorrect as it is not even the largest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth and also Bulkington are bigger, by population, they could be classified as a suv. The UK Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, lowering to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
