Studley
Studley is a big town and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon area of Warwickshire, England. Located on the western side of Warwickshire near the boundary with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch and 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, passes through the town on its eastern side, alongside the River Arrow. The name originates from the Old English leah, being a field or field, where horses, stod, are maintained. Studley is in some cases claimed to be the largest town in England, nevertheless, this is incorrect as it is not also the largest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth as well as Bulkington are larger, by population, they could be classified as a suv. The United Kingdom Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, lowering to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
