Planning permission is a system whereby local authorities can consent to building works by granting permission for the proposed work. The town of Bathgate is found in Scotland's West Lothian. It is situated around the M8 motorway, 5 miles west of Livingston. As per the 2011 Census, Bathgate has a population of roughly 20,363.
