Wick
Wick is a town as well as royal burgh in Caithness, in the much north of Scotland. The community straddles the River Wick and also extends along both sides of Wick Bay. Wick Region had a population of 6,954 at the time of the 2011 census, a reduction of 3.8% from 2001. Pulteneytown, which was developed on the south side of the river by the British Fisheries Society throughout the 19th century, was officially merged into the burgh in 1902.
