Camelford
Camelford is a town and also civil parish in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, positioned in the River Camel valley northwest of Bodmin Moor. The town is around ten miles (16 km) north of Bodmin and is controlled by Camelford Town Council. [3] Lanteglos-by-Camelford is the ecclesiastical parish in which the town is located (not to be puzzled with Lanteglos-by-Fowey). The ward population at the 2011 Census was 4,001. The Town population at the same census was 865 only. Camelford is in the North Cornwall legislative constituency represented by Scott Mann MP considering that 2015. Up until 1974, the town was the management headquarters of Camelford Rural District. Both primary industrial enterprises in the location are the slate quarry at Delabole and the cheese manufacturing facility at Davidstow as well as there is a tiny industrial estate at Highfield. The A39 roadway (referred to as 'Atlantic Freeway') goes through the community centre: a bypass has been gone over for several years. Camelford Station, some range from the town, closed in 1966; the website was ultimately made use of as a biking museum.
