Beith
Beith is a village situated in the Garnock Valley, North Ayrshire, Scotland roughly 20 miles (30 kilometres) south-west of Glasgow. The community is positioned on the crest of a hillside and was known initially as the "Hill o' Beith" (hill of the birches) after its Court Hill. According to the Office for National Statistics, based on the 2011 Census quotes, 91.2 per cent of the 6,200 residents of Beith were born in Scotland, with 6.9 per cent birthed in the UK, 0.8 per cent from various other nations in the European Union and 1.2 percent identified as various other country. The 2011 Scotland census reported 99.2 (6,156) percent of people from Beith being White, 0.4 per cent are Oriental, adhered to by mixed/multiple descent being 0.3 percent as well as 0.1 per cent reported "Various other" beginnings.
