Whitchurch
Whitchurch is a town in Hampshire, England. It gets on the River Test, 13 miles (21 km) south of Newbury, Berkshire, 12 miles (19 kilometres) north of Winchester, 8 miles (13 kilometres) eastern of Andover and also 12 miles (19 kilometres) west of Basingstoke. Much of the town is a Sanctuary. Due to the quantity of wild animals in and near the River Test, its course as well as banks are marked as Site of Special Scientific Interest. The West of England Main Line connects the town's railway station to London, and two highways bypass the community (the A34, a major north-- south path, and the A303, a major eastern-- west course). The population is 8,962. The town is an expanding community with a combination of houses and also some light market, and also functions as a small commuter community to London (about 60 miles to the east) and also to a lesser extent Basingstoke and Andover. Newbury as well as Winchester, whilst close by, can not be gotten to by rail without significant detour (since the closure of Whitchurch Community railway station in 1960) therefore travelling to these locations is mostly by cars and truck. Lynch Hill Park, a little housing development, was made use of in a TV advert for Roysters crisps due to its "regular" American look. The centre of the community is a roundabout called The Square.
