Sawbridgeworth
Sawbridgeworth is a village as well as civil parish in Hertfordshire, England, close to the border with Essex. It is 12 miles (19 kilometres) eastern of Hertford and also 9 miles (14 kilometres) north of Epping. Underlying the town at some depth is the London Clay stratum, with a thick layer of Boulder clay set throughout the glacial epoch, consisting of the Anglian. The dirt in addition to this is a loam, with erratics of Hertfordshire puddingstone conglomerate found around the town. Sawbridgeworth is regulated by Hertfordshire Area Council, in addition to becoming part of East Hertfordshire District Council. Sawbridgeworth has been twinned with Bry-sur-Marne in France since 1973. In Parliament, it is in the Hertford as well as Stortford constituency. Because the election of May 2005 Sawbridgeworth is represented by Mark Prisk, a Conservative. The town of Lower Sheering, throughout the county limit in Essex, joins Sawbridgeworth, east of the train terminal as well as the River Stort.
