Much Hadham
Much Hadham, formerly known as Great Hadham, is a town and civil parish in the district of East Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire, England. The parish of Much Hadham consists of the hamlets of Perry Green as well as Green Tye, in addition to the village of Much Hadham itself. It covers 4,490 acres (1,820 ha). [2] The town of Much Hadham is located midway in between Ware and Bishop's Stortford. The population of the church was recorded as 2,862 in the 2011 census, a boost from 1,994 in 2001. The town is linear extended along its mile and a fifty percent long high street (High Street, Tower Hill and also Widford Road) which runs along the river Ash. It is located between Bishop's Stortford and also Ware, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Hertford and also about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of London. The town had a train station on the Buntingford single track branch line, which closed in 1965 under the Beeching Axe.
