Penrhyndeudraeth
Penrhyndeudraeth is a town and neighborhood in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. The community is close to the mouth of the River Dwyryd on the A487 almost 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Porthmadog, and also had a population of 2,150 at the 2011 census, boosted from 2,031 in 2001. The community includes Minffordd and Portmeirion. According to the 2011 Census, Penrhyndeudraeth is the 19th most Welsh-speaking neighborhood in Wales, with about 76% of the its homeowners aged 3 years or older specifying that they might talk Welsh. According to the most up to date Estyn examination report of the village's primary school, Ysgol Cefn Coch, 79% of pupils originated from houses where Welsh is spoken. In an incident in June 2011, with brand-new English property managers of the Royal Oak pub in Penrhyndeudraeth, customers left the club in anger as well as were intimidated with an airgun after being informed to stop ordering their drinks in Welsh. His popular band Y Tebot Piws likewise recorded their farewell cd at Penrhyndeudraeth Memorial Hall in 2011.
