Laminate flooring is a very common selection of flooring due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and inexpensive price. A relatively new addition to the market, laminate has quickly expanded in popularity as a replacement for real wood or stone floors. Laminate flooring is a type of synthetic composite flooring consisting of several layers, usually with a fibreboard core coated with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally covered with a wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and other types of damage. Because laminate floor incorporates a decorative layer that may incorporate almost any image, it comes in a wide array of different effects to mimic the looks of many other flooring materials like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor includes a smooth top coating, it can also feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other types of flooring. Laminate flooring is ideal for a number of rooms, but be careful if you intend on fitting it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate must be used. When choosing the best laminate for your home, choose one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) rating, as this designates the amount of traffic the laminate is ranked to perform well under. Laminate flooring is relatively easy to install because of its snap or click together design. However, it is often time consuming to install a sizable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the appropriate underlay and damp proofing is fitted to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies can advise you on the best laminate floor for your property, and guarantee that it is fitted to the best quality.
The average cost of Laminate flooring is £700. Costs fluctuate based upon the materials and the firm hired. The upper price range can be as high as £805. The material costs are in most cases approximately £175

Berwick-upon-Tweed is a town within the county of Northumberland. It is the northernmost town in England. It is located 2.5 miles (4 km) to the south of the Scottish border, at the mouth of the River Tweed, on the east coast of the United Kingdom. It's about 56 miles (90 km) to the south east of Edinburgh, 65 miles (105 km) north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 345 miles (555 kilometres) north of London. The 2011 United Kingdom Census recorded Berwick's population as around 12,043. A civil parish and town council were established in 2008. Berwick's origins are as an Anglo-Saxon settlement during the time of the Kingdom of Northumbria, which was annexed by England in the tenth century. The area was, for over 400 years, central to historic border wars among the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, and a number of instances possession of Berwick changed hands between the two kingdoms. The last time it changed hands was when England retook it in 1482. Berwick remains a traditional market town and also has some notable architectural features, in particular its medieval town walls, Elizabethan ramparts and Britain's earliest barracks buildings. Slightly more than 60% of the population is employed in the service sector, including shops, hotels and catering, financial services and most government activity, including health care. About 13% is in manufacturing, 10 per cent in agriculture, and 8% in building. Some existing and recent Berwick economic activities include salmon fishing, shipbuilding, engineering, sawmilling, fertilizer production, malting and the production of tweed and hosiery.
