Broxbourne is a commuter town inside the Broxbourne borough of Hertfordshire in the East of England which has a population of around 13,298 as measured in 2001. The town is twinned with the Sicilian city of Sutera. The name Broxbourne is thought to find its origins from the Old English words brocc and burna which means Badger stream. The Manor of Broxbourne is referred to inside the Domesday Book, which names Broxbourne Mill.
