Jedburgh
Jedburgh is a community and former royal burgh in the Scottish Boundaries and also the traditional county town of the historic county of Roxburghshire. Jedburgh lies on the Jed Water, a tributary of the River Teviot. It is 10 miles (16 kilometres) from the border with England, and is controlled by the substantial ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Various other notable buildings in the town include Queen Mary's House, Jedburgh Castle Prison, now a gallery, and the Jedburgh Collection. Other places close by are Ancrum, Bairnkine, Bonjedward, Camptown, Crailing, Edgerston, Ferniehirst Castle, Nisbet as well as Oxnam.
