Highbridge
Highbridge is a little, previous market town located on the edge of the Somerset Levels near the mouth of the River Brue. It is in the Region of Somerset, and is approximately 20 miles (32.2 km) north east of Taunton, the county town of Somerset. It is no longer a market community, the market site is currently a housing estate. Highbridge remains in the District of Sedgemoor, being positioned approximately 7 miles (11.3 kilometres) north of Bridgwater, the area's management centre. Highbridge carefully neighbors Burnham-on-Sea, developing part of the mixed parish of Burnham-on-Sea and also Highbridge and also shares a town council with the hotel community. In the 2001 census the population was 5,986. In the 2011 census the population of the town was included in the ward of Highbridge as well as Burnham Marine, which amounted to 7,555.
