Cromer
Cromer is a seaside town and also civil parish on the north shore of the English county of Norfolk. It is around 23 miles (37 kilometres) north of the area city of Norwich, 116 miles (187 km) north-northeast of London and 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) east of Sheringham on the North Sea coastline. The city government authority is North Norfolk District Council, whose head office is in Holt Road in the community. The civil parish has an area of 4.66 km2 (1.80 sq mi) as well as at the 2011 census had a population of 7,683. The town is significant as a traditional tourist resort as well as for the Cromer crab, which creates the significant income for local fishermen. The adage Gem of the Norfolk Coast is highlighted on the town's road signs.
