Crickhowell
Crickhowell is a town as well as neighborhood in southeastern Powys, Wales, near Abergavenny, and remained in the historic area of Brecknockshire. The name Crickhowell is drawn from that of the close-by Iron Age hill fort of Crug Hywel above the community, the Welsh language name being anglicised by map-makers as well as neighborhood English-speaking people. The town pushes the River Usk, on the southern side of the Black Hills and in the eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Substantial parts of the surrounding countryside, over 20,000 acres (81 km2) create part of the Glanusk Park estate. An electoral ward in the exact same name exists. This ward consists of The Vale of Grwyney neighborhood and has an overall population of 2,801 as taken at the 2011 census. The present councillor is John Morris, a Liberal Democrat.
