Caersws
Caersws is a village and community on the River Severn, in the Welsh county of Powys (Montgomeryshire) 5 miles (8 kilometres) west of Newtown, and midway between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury. It has a station on the Cambrian Line from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,526, enhancing a little to 1,586 at the 2011 Demographics. In contemporary Welsh, Caersws literally implies "Fort Kiss", although sws likely originates from a few other resource. It has been argued that the website might retain a Roman-era dedication to Zeus or preserve the name of a conjectured British queen Swswen.
