Attleborough

Attleborough is a market town and civil parish between Norwich and Thetford within Norfolk, England. The parish is in the district of Breckland and has an area of 21.9 square kilometres (8.5 square miles). Attleborough is in the Mid-Norfolk constituency of the UK Parliament. Attleborough railway station is on a main line rail service to both Norwich and Cambridge. The very first turnpike road in England is reputed to have been created here at the end of the 17th century. The 1920s saw continuing development as a market centre, held on a Thursday, the stalls spread across the pavements of Church Street and in an open area by the Angel Hotel opposite the Griffin Inn. It was the turkey sales which made the town a thriving market centre during the 1930s, and thousands were sold each year on Michaelmas Day. Local employment still primarily revolved around the Gaymer's cider works, established in the late 19th century. A great deal of the town's improvement occurred in the 1960s. The overspill programme and new town development brought new families into south Norfolk. Attleborough had to make decisions for the future and new improvement zones were designated. The very first estate programme started with the building of the council-owned Cyprus Estate which has since been added to by other private housing schemes, such as Fairfields and Ollands built mostly during the 1970s in addition to a large estate on the south side of the town in the 1990s. For all your house upgrades, make sure that you employ trusted professionals in Attleborough to ensure you get the top quality service.

how much value does an extension add to your house?

Are you interested in extending your home to create more living space? If yes, then you’d probably want to know how much value it can add to your property in order to compare the building costs to the potential value gain. Well, as long as you know what you’re doing, your house doesn’t necessarily have to be a money pit. If it goes that far, then literally nothing beats a full spectrum, double storey extension which can give up to 11 percent increase in the value of a property - equalling about a whooping £33,000 for a standard home in the UK.

• Conservatory Extension

With conservatories becoming more and more popular in the UK due to the weather conditions, several buyers are now including it’s availability as part of the criteria for purchasing a house. Wonder why? This is simply because everyone wants to enjoy their garden all throughout the year. As a result of this high demand, adding this type of extension to your house can go a long way to increase it’s value. However, it’s very important to incorporate high quality materials during construction. With glass conservatories offering, on the average, up to £5,000 increase in value, the cheaper PVC alternative offers much less value and can also deter potential buyers.
