North Ferriby is a village and also civil parish in the Haltemprice area of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Ferriby parish had a population of 3,893, a boost on the 2001 UK census figure of 3,819 according to the 2011 UK census. The college has about 300 students. North Ferriby is on the north bank of the Humber Estuary, around 8 miles (13 kilometres) west of Hull city centre. To the north, atop a hillside, exists Swanland by means of the B1231. South Ferriby is straight opposite the village, on the south financial institution of the Humber. North Ferriby is usually referred to as "Ferriby" by residents on the north financial institution, except where confusion may occur. Melton is nearby to the west which is where the big South Hunsley School is. North Ferriby depends on the Parliamentary constituency of Haltemprice as well as Howden.
