Ascot
Ascot is an affluent little town within the eastern area of the English county of Berkshire. It is positioned six miles (9.7 kilometres) south of Windsor, 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) east of Bracknell and 25 miles (40 km) west of London. The town consists of three places: Ascot itself, North Ascot and South Ascot. Based on the 2001 Census, Ascot has a permanent population of approximately 11603. Ascot has a station on a bi-section of the railway line from London's Waterloo station to Reading, Bagshot, Aldershot and Guildford, initially built by the London and South Western Railway and now operated by South West Trains.
