This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.

Chalfont St Giles is a village and civil church within the Chiltern district in south east Buckinghamshire, England, on the edge of the Chilterns, 20.9 miles (33.6 kilometres) west-north-west of Charing Cross, main London, and also near Seer Green, Jordans, Chalfont St Peter, Little Chalfont and Amersham. Chalfont indicates chalk springtime, in reference to the water bring capabilities of the local surface. The town has a duck pond that is fed by the River Misbourne. In 2009, the village was granted the European Diploma of the Council of Europe in acknowledgment of its initiatives to circulate the idea of European unity.
